Let's play, Name the Guilty Party
Still believe there's a difference between the 2 parties?
Take our Quiz, then decide.
The Democrat and Republican parties are really the same.
Do you still think that there’s a difference between the democrat and republican parties? If so, then take our quiz. Here are some common behaviors of our so-called ‘leaders’. Tell me, which party is guilty of these acts?... (1) the Democrats, (2) the Republicans or (3) Both?
___
They spend money we do not have, thereby increasing our debt, to bribe the public, while they point fingers and avoiding responsibility for the current situation in Washington.
___
They try to sabotage the policies of the ‘other side’ at the expense of our children.
___
They spend money we do not have, increasing our debt, in order to bribe the public to get your vote.
___
They point fingers and avoiding responsibility for the dismal situation in Washington.
___
They live in a separate class that’s out of touch with the American people.
___
They won’t support valid ideas from the other party unless it benefits them more.
___
They lie outright about events, facts, projections and data.
___
They use their position for personal gain and expanding their power and influence.
___
They manipulate facts, public opinion, censor stories and lie to gain a political advantage.
___
They’re afraid to tackle tough issues, so they only address ‘distraction issues.’
___
They would rather see a program fail than to see their opponents win.
___
They see the ‘other side’ as a competitor but not other nations.
___
They are in a perpetual campaign that starts the moment they take office. Even now, Washington is in full-time campaign mode and all meaningful discussions about policy are on hold until after the mid-term elections. Is this the way our government should be run?
Are these actions best for our nation?
All of these actions come from events that have been in the news. These next were added just recently.
___
They use presidential pardons for fundraising and political purposes.
___
They hate when celebrities are vocal about their political views, but they like it when the celebrities are on their side.
___
Their positions on issues are determined by their chances for re-election and not by what’s in the best interest of our people.
___
They ignore critical issues because they’re not politically correct, like the dreadful rise in depression and suicides, including the well-being of our veterans.
___
They manipulate the legislative process to block or pass unrelated legislation that furthers their self-interest.
___
They switch their positions on issues when the other party is in power or fail to support helpful positions (like treaties, etc.) because they were not supported by the other party or previous administration.
___
They are all re-active. There is no forward thinking or planning ahead on any issue. They ignore all problems until they get so out-of-control they are forced to acknowledge it. But instead of dealing with the issues intelligently, they throw a quick band-aid on it and pray it doesn’t hurt their chances of reelection.
Should I continue or do you get the point?
Both parties know that they can get away with any unlawful activities because their opponent was guilty of the same actions. For example, democrats can’t attack Trump on using pardons as a political tool since they all defended Hillary Clinton after she blatenly sold presidential pardons for personal donations.
We must stop being complicit and accepting this behavior.
Do any of these behaviors have anything to do with the merits of an issue? Is this how we should prioritize policy decisions? These are the people that we reelect and support year after year. It’s time for a change my friends.
When you look at this hot mess from a 10,000 foot view, then we’re not as polarized as we think. We all want change and all want this change NOW.
